Friday Featured Blog – Editing Hat

Hi Everyone!
It’s Friday, Yay! I hope life is treating you well. It was 80 degrees here today *gasp* in fact I had to get the old chainsaw out and trim my winter toenails… LOL (nice image huh?) no, not really, but I did paint them a pretty color so I can wear my sandals ;o)

The eye is doing okay, it got better and I was starting to see better, then I had a relapse and I have no clue why, so we’ll see what happens – again excuse any typos ;o)

On to our wonderful featured blog. This is one nice dude. Trust. Author, Adam Slade from Editing Hat! He has a great blog and a lot of cool stuff is going on over there, he’s going to be a guest poster at (his wonderful editor Cyn’s blog) soon and he’s also scheduled to guest post on Dolly’s wonderful blog Writer Revealed! in the near future. You may remember Dolly as Lost Wanderer ;o)

He has an additional super cool blog called Gumshoes Casefiles where posts are contributed by fictional Private Eye, Frank Peterson, you can find the mysterious wonderment Here.

Adam is great. His comments are thoughtful and funny. He always seems to be in a good mood, which is awesome ;o) Back in January he had a post about why he writes. It’s simple, to the point and if I may say so myself, sweet as can be! You can find it Here.

His first novella, A REAPER’S TALE The Undecided, is coming out May 17th by publisher Lyrical Press Inc. Here’s a little excerpt courtesy of the Lyrical Press website:

Even Grim Reapers have bad days on the job.

Mal has managed to stay out of the afterlife for 31 years, despite having been dead for the last three. He’s a Grim Reaper, and while he may not be the most enthusiastic, he enjoys his “life” too much to give it up to death. But he’s got a problem. A troubled young woman’s soul becomes bonded to his, and a vicious demon is hired to retrieve it.

If Mal can’t get her soul free in a hurry, he’s doomed to share her destination, whether it be heaven or hell.

***

Doesn’t that sound like a kick a** story? And how mysterious is that book cover!

He has an great website too. You can find it Here

or Visit his fan page on Facebook, you can find it Here

The wonderful author, blogger and twitterer Medeia Sharif has given me the Picasso award! Thank you so much! Check out her super blog where she discusses books or whatever fancies her at the time!

I’m going to hand this off to Adam (remember him?) – he’s got a great blog and he’s super nice. So Adam this award is for you – enjoy buddy!

Okay I think I have to tell 7 things about myself for this award… I’ll keep ’em short since these posts are typically long!

1. I love to watch Days of Our Lives – I’m addicted really!
2. I’ve been working out with my Wii and EA Sports – and love it!
3. I’ve locked my keys in my car countless times and twice while it was running. I’ve gotten much better, most happened in my teens. I blame my sister for one of the times while it was running, she distracted me… LOL
4. I love animals, but they drive me nuts at night!
5. I’m not good at math.
6. I named my first cat Annie after the movie.
7. My first job at 16 was at a movie theatre. I had to work holidays, but it was so much fun and free popcorn and movies!

That’s all I got peeps. I hope you have a great weekend filled with lots of fun activities!! See ya next week ;o)

  14. That cat looks so scary.

I haven’t locked my keys inside my car yet. It’s because I’m obsessive-compulsive.

I love the cat, so perfect for Friday.:-)

And Adam’s wonderful, a great choice for your Friday feature!

  16. Oh my word, I hope the eye problem clears up for you soon!

I’ll be sure to check out Adam’s blog. What a fun feature.

Congrats on your award, too. I once locked my oldest daughter in the car when she was 4. It was running, and I had only stepped out for a second. Thankfully, we had a keypad on the door–but I had to call my husband at work to get the code. And when he finally picked up the phone a half hour later, I got into the car. I was so grateful that my daughter slept through the whole event.

  17. Sandy – I agree it sounds cool! It was fun, of course seeing the movies first was my favorite part!

Jen – Thank you! Yay! I know, they get nuts!!

Medeia – It does… LOL Ooo be glad, it totally sucks ;o)

    CR – It is! I agree ;o)

Carolina – Thanks, I’m working on getting it better, slow process ;o) Wow. That must have been really scary, so glad it all worked out! Whew.
