So… that’s what your handwriting looks like. eh

Hi Everyone!
Long time no talk ;o) So… Erica, what have you been doing? I’m so glad you asked. I’ve been revising and reading. Oh and I got a shiny new guitar that I’m beginning to practice on. Still quite the noob, but will be taking lessons soon ;o)

I’ve sure missed you guys! What have you been up to? I’ll try to get back to a more regular posting schedule, summer is very hard to keep up with. Ya know? Golf, beach, work, BBQ’s… the normal summer stuff.

I’ve read some great books since blogging last. BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. PERFECT CHEMISTRY by Simone Elkeles, LOOKING FOR ALASKA by John Green. All were excellent.

I’m currently reading LINGER by Maggie Stiefvater. I’ve been waiting for this one for a while!

I also saw SHUTTER ISLAND and loved it. Wow. I now have the book on hold at the library.

I received the penmanship meme eons ago from the wonderful Medeia Sharif over at Medeia Sharif, YA Author Check out her blog, trust, it’s as awesome as she is ;o) Basically, I have to write out the following items then post the paper with my handwriting *bites nails*

Here we go!

2. Right handed, left handed or both?
3. Favorite letters to write?
4. Least favorite letters to write?
5. Write: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

You can click on the pic to make it larger. I’m not sure you want to, my handwriting is hit! Seriously, this is why I use a computer. But, in the interest of sharing, I’m letting you see it…

Feel free to copy this meme on your own blog ;o)

Well, I hope you are all enjoying your summer. Don’t forget to register for the fab online writer’s conference writeoncon!

"Number Five is Alive…" Again.

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117983475.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

Ok. I get it. The eighties had movies that were re-makeable. At least that is how it seems. Short Circuit is the next on the list to be re-made. (yes you heard right) Come on you knew it was coming.

How can they possibly screw this one up.. *laughs*

“Number Five is alive.” Translated into new movie version… Number Five cranes his mechanical finger and points at a small, red button on his side. “I’ll blow up this whole country if you touch this button.”

Let’s see, can we predict what’s next? Let’s see Footloose is taken, Transformers x2, Karate Kid, Heathers is getting a sequel, Red Dawn, and of course Weird Science.

When will it stop? Will it ever? At this rate they will be re-making those sh*tty Look Who’s Talking Movies… Oh please No! Okay, the first one was passable.

Just my 2 cents. Great. Now I want to watch Better Off Dead. (Good Movie)

Enjoy your weekend!

Angels & Demons- Good

Saw Angels and Demons this weekend. It was good. Without giving too much away. The border that is drawn between science and religion is really intruiging. As a fan of science and religion I thought it was thought provoking and relelvant. As some of you already know through my twitter, Ewan was amazing! Love him. If you’ve read the book, which I have not yet, (will now) it’s different I’m told, but along the same lines.

I’m ready for Friday, our first real vacation in a long time. Should be fun. I wrote some more this weekend and organized my chapters into seperate docs. It helped my mental state as well, so I didn’t have to look at all the writing at once. Such a little thing, but made a huge difference!

Have a good Monday- If you can- hate Monday’s myself.
