Hi Everyone,

Whew! That was CRAZY!

I hope you had a great time reading the awesome entries for the After the Madness Workshop! If you didn’t get a chance to, make sure to check out the other fantabulous blogs involved in the workshop, Brenda DrakeYAtopia, and Shelley Watters.

I wanted to take the time to thank each writer that entered the workshop and graciously let us critique their first 250 words! Also, all the people that stopped by and commented, critiqued, and the lurkers who popped by to see what was going on… THANK YOU ALL!

It was an amazing experience. I learned a lot! I hope you did too. I want you to know that I read and enjoyed every entry I posted on this blog. I know I was rough, and showed some tough love to a lot of you, but it is because I believe in you and KNOW you will do great things with your writing. You have it in you! Of course, I’m no expert and I’m just giving my opinion, so remember to only change what you– in your gut– believe is necessary to make your story better.

I hope you all learned as much as I did from this workshop. I’m so glad I got to share duties with the awesome Brenda Drake, the fantastic writers of YAtopiaand the super Shelley Watters

What did you think of the workshop? Was it helpful to you as a writer? As a reader?

Enjoy your Tuesday!!

<3 Erica

No Monday Featured Blog today – sorry

Oh man…

I wrote an entire post on the Monday Featured Blog – and for some reason it’s completely gone. It was good too.

Sorry folks. I don’t have the energy to re-write the post. Look for it next Monday, The WriteRunner will be the next Monday Featured Blog. Sorry Andrew.

I have no idea what happened!! In fact I scheduled (2) Blog posts that are now gone. I remember posting them, but alas they have gone the way of the dodo.

I hope your having a nice Monday. Will post again this week about a problem I’ve been having while editing.

MFA? Yay or Nay- I eat Hay, every day…

A little rhyming for a Tuesday. I’m at a crossroads here.

I need to further my education so my day job isn’t so infuriating. I was thinking of web design, going for an MFA-I have a bachelor in Journalism- or just taking some classes at community college until I figure something out.

I’m completely lost. I would love to try and freelance write, but I have no clue how to do it.
Anyone have any ideas? I know you can’t tell me what to do with my life- oh how I wish someone could sometimes- Just asking if any of you have an MFA, or web design, any freelancers out there?
*crickets chirp*

Tim Burton Down the Rabbit Hole

Tim Burton is directing Alice in Wonderland the movie. I am beyond excited as this is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time!

Can’t wait to see it 🙂
